Paint with MONK
MONK invites participation in her paintings. Become part of Canadian art history by painting right on a MONK original and then making your wish on the back.
In the spring of 2011 MONK completed “Nodar’s Spirit”, painted by thousands of people in Vancouver during the 2010 Olympics, throughout Western Canada and in Nodar’s country, Georgia. It depicts the giant Cathedral Grove cedar trees and is dedicated to the memory of Nodar Kumaritashvili, the Olympic luger from Georgia who died at Whistler.

MONK delivered “Nodar’s Spirit” to Georgia in May 2011 and shared the final strokes of this painting with Nodar’s country, community, friends and family before presenting it to his family and community in his honour. MONK’s trip to Georgia:
